On December 2nd, OpenAI officially announced the postponement of the launch plan for the platform "GPT Store". Prior to the incident involving the temporary dismissal of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Sam Altman had announced on November 7th at OpenAI's inaugural developer conference, DevDay, that the GPT Store would go live by the end of November. Through this store, users would have the opportunity to create their own GPT models, join the GPT Store, and receive a share of the earnings.
In the announcement, OpenAI stated, "...While we had expected to release it this month, a few unexpected things have been keeping us busy!"
What is GPT Store?
GPT Store is designed to make it easy for everyone to create their own customized GPT, introducing the ability to customize ChatGPT. Anyone can develop their personalized GPT for specific personal and professional tasks and can also upload it to GPT Store to earn a share of the proceeds. This version eliminates the need for coding – users can construct GPT assistants for various domains by simply providing natural language instructions or uploading additional knowledge information files.
